Any letterboxes in New Mexico?

From: booberry10 (tar_baby1@msn.com) | Date: 2005-09-12 22:35:08 UTC
I am wondering if there are any letterboxes in NM and especially about
Dennis' two....one in Capitan...and the other called..."Ancestral
Pueblo".
Does anyone know if they are still alive?
I'm in Las Cruces,New Mexico and haven't found anything on line about
any here...:(
But would like to find some in this, my home state.

Not sure why you can't see the clues for southern New Mexico
letterboxes on the www.letterboxing.org site. There are
several, including my Smokey Bear box in Capitan. There
are also a few in El Paso, TX, which is even closer to you.

HI! This summer we found the Lordsburg box placed by AZRoadie at Lordsburg,
NM.

If there aren't a lot of boxes in your area, you might try hosting a
barn-raising". We are doing one in Texas in October to seed three mostly
boxless counties in Texas.

I've now got the clues for the Smokey Bear, and the Ancestral Pueblo
one....Though I've heard the Ancestral Pueblo isn't there any more....
Is that the case?
And I am now wondering if the one for the cave....also near the Smokey Bear
one is planted yet. There were directions "pending"...but no clues.
Are the one's in El Paso that you're referring too, the Franklin mountain 2?
